China – Xian (Terra Cotta Warriors)
I remembered why I know about a lot of miscellaneous places around the world. My grandparents use to send us National Geographic magazines when I was little. I don’t remember reading any of the articles, but I do remember the pictures. I remember seeing a picture of the Terra Cotta Warriors on one of the covers. They are amazing !! There are thousands of them! I also met Fiona, my tour consultant to help me plan my China trip. Fiona is great. I got to see the city and try some of the best dumplings in Xian!
Terra Cotta Warriors: They basically built an airplane hanger over them. There are several other building. They are amazing! I think grandmother would like to see them!
First Qin Emperor Mausoleum: The hill behind the tomb stone is the mausoleum. This is a group picture of everyone who took the one day tour. I met some Italians, Australians, Arizonans, Brazilians, and Dutch.
Wild Goose Pagoda: At the top, there is a great view of the city!
Xi’an City Wall: The city wall has been rebuilt 3 times since the 14th century. The city wall is impressive.
Stele Forest: There are hundreds of steles within this museum.
Misc. Pictures of Xian: Bell tower at night. Terra cotta factory (~10% breakage). Beautify sky! City life!
