Korea – Busan – Hello!!
Hello Busan!! We only have 1 day in Busan, so let’s get going!! We will start from the furthest point and work our way back to our hostel/near the train station! Don’t forget food!
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple: One of the few Korean Buddhist temples by the sea (It is interesting to read that there are not many temples by the sea in Korea after visiting Bali, where there are a lot of temples by the sea). Interesting side note: Korea has ~20,000 temples and the article on professor David Manson on how shamanism has been practiced in Korea for 1000’s of years is interesting.
- View of the temple and the sea.
- Walkway and gardens before the Temple w/ Chinese zodiac signs and other statues
- Temple:
- Walkway toward the sea w/ the giant mailbox and statue.
Fisheries Science Museum: If you walk down to the mail box and the gold statue, there is a walkway along the sea to the back entrance of the fisheries science museum. The museum is free and it had AC (air conditioning) so we decided to go in!
- Walkway around the sea area to the museum:
- Museum entrance: A lot of things to see!!
Haeundae Beach: Most popular beach in Busan. There are thousands of people on the beach. It looks like there was an online gaming event at the beach as well.
Random Pictures of the city: We stopped for food (of course we ate everything before we took a picture – our food blog is not going very well).
